Bouquet of dandelions, original watercolor (2025)

38x45 cm ~ Painting, Watercolor

Contact

The watercolor depicts a lush, almost breathing bouquet of dandelions shown in close-up. At the heart of the composition is a clear glass vase, where slender stems intertwine freely — their delicate curves and fresh greenery visible through water and transparent glass. Light softly refracts, creating playful reflections, as if nature itself is hidden within the vase.
The dandelions are captured at different stages of their life: vibrant yellow blossoms, glowing like tiny suns, sit alongside airy white seed heads, already ready to drift away on the breeze. The fluffy spheres appear weightless, nearly transparent, catching even the faintest glimmer of light. Their delicate threads seem to sway gently, as though the artist’s brush barely touched the paper.
The leaves — long, twisting, with sharply serrated edges — add a sense of movement to the bouquet. They curl and bend as if stirred by a breeze, yet harmonize with the composition, emphasizing both the vitality and fragility of the flowers.
This watercolor is a tribute to summer and the quiet beauty of nature. It speaks of transformation — from vivid bloom to gossamer orb, from richness to something ethereal. The artist seems to have captured a moment suspended between “already” and “not yet,” preserving in this work the fleeting charm, tenderness, and endless wonder that nature offers in every phase of its creation.
